About these terms
These terms apply when you book a service with Patel Ambulance Service by phone, WhatsApp or through this website. By booking, you agree to them.
Bookings
Bookings are confirmed when our dispatch team accepts your request and shares vehicle details. Please give accurate information about the pickup location and the patient’s condition, so we can send the right vehicle and crew.
Arrival times given on the call are estimates. Traffic, weather, road conditions and other factors outside our control can affect them.
Fares and payment
We tell you the fare before dispatch. It depends on the type of vehicle, the distance, waiting time, tolls and any medical staff who travel with the patient.
Extra charges may apply if the trip changes after booking, for example a change of destination, additional waiting or extra stops. We will tell you before these apply.
Medical care
Our crews provide care during transport within the limits of the vehicle, equipment and staff booked. We are a transport service and do not replace treatment at a hospital. The choice of ambulance type should follow the treating doctor’s advice where available.
Cancellations
You can cancel a booking by calling us. If the vehicle has already been dispatched, a cancellation charge may apply to cover the distance travelled.
Last-rites services
For hearse, mortuary van, freezer box and body transport services, the family is responsible for providing the documents required by law, such as the death certificate and any hospital or police papers. We can guide you on what is needed.
Freezer box rental
Rented freezer boxes remain our property. Please use them as instructed by our staff and keep them connected to a working power supply. Damage beyond normal use may be charged.
Liability
We take every reasonable care in providing our services. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for delays or losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.
